Be self-aware: Try to be conscious of the choices you make when you decide to run to the refrigerator at night. What activities do you do that trigger eating? Have you always snacks in front of a TV? Studies have shown that when people eat dinner in front of the TV they eat 10-20% more than when they eat at the table. The reason is that when your mind is on TV it is not paying attention to the food you are consuming so you consume more food without realizing it.
